Calling all young Canadian leaders working, studying, or living in China who aim to play a role in developing the Canada-China relationship! The Canada-China Forum (CCF), in partnership with the Canada China Business Council (CCBC), is calling on individuals to submit their application to a special upcoming event in Beijing.

Since its inception in 2021, the Forum was focused on establishing a pan-Canadian network with a strong presence in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. However, there was also increasing recognition of the need to connect Canadians living, working, and studying in China with Canadians back home to establish a trans-pacific connection in sharing experiences, insights, and opportunities. Seeking to build bridges between our members located in Canada and China, strengthening the trans-pacific connection has been identified as a priority for the Forum’s growth in 2022.

With a growing network in Canada, the CCF seeks to foster trans-pacific partnerships by building out our community to high-potential Canadians living in China. In China, we aim to engage globally-minded young Canadians with the ambition of building a significant China-related network and improving their China competencies.

Hosted in Beijing, the Forum would like to convene young Canadians leaders to meet with senior Canadian business, governmental and civil society leaders to the state of Canada-China relations and explore how the next generation of Canadian leaders can shape and play a role in the engagement between both countries. The private exclusive dinner will allow our members and guests to engage in an intimate discussion that will help build momentum and inspiration for the pragmatic involvement of Canadians in the dynamic evolution of Canada-China relationship and partnerships, where young Canadians will play an essential part.

The roundtable dinner will be held on Thursday, March 17 in Beijing.

Applications for the event are due on February 21 at 11:59 PM Beijing Time.
