University of Alberta – China Institute

The China Institute at the University of Alberta (CIUA) is Canada’s only established, multi-disciplinary think tank and research centre focusing solely on China studies. The Institute strives to generate and disseminate knowledge that supports in-depth understanding of today’s China and encourages policy development in response to China’s evolving role in the world.

University of British Columbia – Institute of Asian Research

The Institute of Asian Research (IAR) is the focal point on Asia policy and current affairs at the University of British Columbia as well as for interdisciplinary scholarship on modern and pre-modern Asia. Since its founding in 1978, the IAR has served as the premier Asia-focused research institute and think tank in Canada, serving as an active hub for research, teaching, policy support, and community engagement.

Canada China Business Council

The Canada China Business Council or CCBC is a private, non-profit business association founded in 1978 to facilitate and promote business, trade and investment between Canada and People’s Republic of China. CCBC has offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Halifax, Beijing, and Shanghai.

Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada

The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, created by an Act of Parliament in 1984, is an independent, not-for-profit think-tank on Canada’s relations with Asia.
