Engaging a new generation of leaders in the Canada-China relationship.

A strategic investment in Canada’s future.

What we do.

Drawing on the experience and expertise of our diverse membership from across Canada, the Canada China Forum engages in dialogue, examines issues, and offers new perspectives and ideas on contemporary China and the Canada-China relationship.

Fostering and Strengthening China Competencies

We aim to advance our understanding of China and Canada-China relations through good-faith exchanges and dialogues.

Building a National Community

We aim to convene a diverse group of Canadians from across the country with far-ranging backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.

Advancing the Canada-China Relationship

We understand the complex nature of the Canada-China relationship and recognize the need to create a sustainable and strategic strategy for future engagement, in service of the Canadian national interest.

Informing the National Dialogue on China through Thought Leadership

The Forum provides a platform for young Canadians to contribute fresh perspectives and ideas to the dialogue surrounding the Canada-China relationship.

Our mission.

The Canada China Forum seeks to be the national network for Canadians under 35 committed to the Canada-China relationship.

By promoting meaningful dialogue, connections, and opportunities, the Forum aims to convene a new generation of Canadian leaders who are globally-minded and China-competent, and who may contribute to Canada’s future engagement with China in service of the national interest.

Hon. Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs

“As the world faces increasingly complex and intersecting global issues, Canada is committed to engaging pragmatically with a wide range of countries to advance our national interests and uphold our values. As described in Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, we must maintain open lines of communication and use diplomacy to challenge where we ought to, while seeking cooperation in areas that matter most to Canadians.”
