Chris is a political staffer for the Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade. After representing Canada on a trade mission to China in 2017, Chris recognised the need to learn more about this fast-growing economy. He took a year off from his pre-med program and studied abroad at Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management.

In Beijing, Chris served as the Executive Director of the Student Association of Belt and Road Initiative, a 500-member research organisation that operates in 5 countries across Asia. His research on the BRI has brought him to Nepal, Uzbekistan, Qatar, and Pakistan; Chris looks forward to bringing an eclectic perspective to the Forum. Chris is an alumnus of the Prime Minister’s Youth Council, Global Vision, and Young Diplomats of Canada.
