Julia Nguyen is a Project Coordinator at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, where she works on education and youth-related programming and research. Julia travelled to China for the first time to participate in a Mandarin proficiency competition for high school students, which sparked a deep interest in China and Asia-related affairs. As an undergraduate student, she spent a semester abroad studying at Tsinghua University. Prior to her current role, she interned at New Oriental Education in Beijing, the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Phnom Penh. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Political Science and Economics.

Julia Nguyen est Coordinatrice de projets reliés à l’éducation et à la jeunesse à la Fondation Asie Pacifique du Canada. Julia est allée en Chine pour la première fois afin de participer à un concours de mandarin pour les étudiants du secondaire. Depuis, elle a développé un grand intérêt pour les enjeux concernant la Chine et le continent asiatique. Durant son parcours universitaire, elle a fait un échange d’un semestre à l’Université Tsinghua. Avant d’occuper son poste actuel, Julia a effectué des stages à New Oriental Education à Pékin, au Bureau commercial du Canada à Taipei et au Programme des Nations unies pour le développement (PNUD) à Phnom Penh. Julia détient un baccalauréat en sciences politiques et en économie de l’Université McGill.
